Mateusz Jamróz
Trainee advocate
Trainee advocate in the Criminal Law and Compliance Department.
His primary areas of interest include white-collar crime, particularly cases concerning the criminal liability of managers, mismanagement, and actions taken to the detriment of creditors, as well as computer crime and securities offenses. He is also interested in international criminal law and human rights. He has already gained initial experience in drafting applications to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
In his day-to-day work, he prepares legal analyses and opinions, as well as drafts procedural pleadings, in the fields of criminal law and criminal procedure. Acting under the authority of attorneys-at-law, he also represents Clients before law enforcement authorities and courts.
Since the beginning of his studies, he has gained experience in litigation law firms, including those specialising in white-collar and fiscal criminal law. Immediately before joining KKZ, he worked at one of the so-called Big Four firms, where he was involved in criminal proceedings (white-collar and fiscal) as well as tax proceedings.
A graduate of the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. During his studies, he was actively involved in the University Legal Clinic (criminal law section), where he provided legal assistance to individuals in difficult financial circumstances as well as to inmates in correctional facilities. He also completed postgraduate studies in Fiscal and Business Criminal Law at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. He is currently undertaking his advocate traineeship at the Warsaw Bar Association.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time actively – hiking in the mountains or road cycling. His free time is devoted to travelling in a self-converted campervan, playing the guitar and drums, and reading.
